So let's use the 1,000 true fans example, our average conversion value is $50 and we need 1,000 conversions per year to reach our goal. Ok, so how do we acquire these 1,000 conversions? Did you answer, "try to start directly connecting with people and persuading them to become patrons?" Ding! That's correct! You might actually earn a profit from every person you interact with – in that case, congratulations! You had a 100% conversion rate, an admirable achievement. Let's say you didn't earn a profit from every person you interacted with, you still have two options to meet your goal, you can earn more from the people you did interact with, or you can interact with more people.
